As you step out of the Reception area, you are in the section which houses aircraft engines, missiles and a Pilotless aircraft used for target practice - the ‘Chukar’. Every aviation enthusiast takes delight in the open, ‘dissected’ view of the engines of aircraft like Sea Harrier and Tupelov-142M, which are pure engineering marvels. The two engines, masterpieces in their own right, have powered many an important mission. The construction and engineering design of these engines are bound to capture your awe.
Moving ahead, you will view the various aircraft on display. Each has its own unique place in the history of Naval Aviation and helicopters like the Chetak still serve the Armed Forces faithfully. You can read the name, role, and salient feature of these ‘birds’ on the boards right next to them.
